Loan tracker for money you owe — and money owed to you

The IncomeWise loan tracker handles both sides: loans you borrowed and money you lent out. It records every repayment, includes interest in what is still owed, shows the next payment date and keeps your balance honest — money you lend comes out of what you have available, and goes back in as it is repaid.

What you get

Borrowed and lent

Two tabs, never netted together: what you owe, and who owes you.

Interest included

For loans with an interest rate, the total to repay is calculated on a fixed monthly instalment — so "remaining" is the real figure.

Your balance stays true

Lending money takes it out of this month’s available balance; each repayment you receive adds it back.

Due dates and contacts

Expected-back dates, overdue flags and the borrower’s contact, for when you need to chase a debt.

How it works

  1. 1

Add a loan: borrowed or lent, amount, interest rate, duration and the other person or bank.

  2. 2

Record each payment as it happens — the matching income or expense is logged for you.

  3. 3

Follow what is still owed and the next due date on the loan card.

Lending money to friends without losing track

Informal loans are the ones people forget: no statement, no reminders, and an awkward conversation months later. Recording the loan, the expected return date and every partial repayment keeps both of you honest — and the amount stops looking like money you still have.

Paying down debt

For borrowed loans IncomeWise shows principal, interest, total paid and the next instalment date. Pair it with the free loan calculator to see how much interest a loan will cost before you sign.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track money I lent to a friend?

Yes. Choose "I lent out" when you add the loan. It comes out of your available balance, and each repayment you record goes back in as income.

Does the loan tracker include interest?

Yes. With an interest rate and a duration, the total due is calculated as a fixed monthly instalment, and "remaining" includes the interest.

Is the loan tracker free?

It is part of IncomeWise Premium, at $3 a month.
